Characteristics of charges are:

1 It is of two type. 

 A Positive charge: It is caused due  

                                to loss of electron

 B Negative charge:It is caused due 

                                to gain of electron

2 Charge is quantized by nature. i.e charge is an integral multiple of an electron. Q=ne. Where n is integer. 

3 it is Transferable by nature 

4.It is conservative by nature. 

5 It is additive by nature. 

6 charge is always reside on outer 

     surface of a body charges

7 It is invariant by nature. 

8 during transfer of charges the         mass of a body always get transfer. 

9 charge density is maximum where radius of curvature is minimum.
